Pengurus Dewan Pimpinan Majelis Ulama Indonesia (DP-MUI) Kota Kediri masa Khidmad 2019-2024 dikukuhkan. Pengukuhan dilaksanakan di Aula Pasca Sarjana IAIN Kediri, dipimpin DP MUI Jawa timur, KH Abdussomad Buchori, Sabtu (28/12/2018).
Hadir dalam pengukuhan dan Ta’aruf, Ketua MUI Jatim KH Abdussomad Buchori, Sekertaris MUI Jatim H Moh Yunus, Waka Polsek Kediri AKP Surono, Danramil Kota Kediri Kapten Suryanto dan perwakilan Pemkot Kediri.
Sebelum dikukuhkan terlebih dahulu dibacakan surat keputusan nomor 12/MUI/ JTM/ X/ 2019. Setelah itu, Ketua MUI Jatim KH Abdussomad Buchori dan ketua Umum MUI Kota Kediri KH Abdullah Khafabihi Mahrus menandatangani berita acara pengukuhan.
Diantaranya pengurus harian yang dikukuhkan yakni, Ketua Umum KH Abdulloh Kafabihi Mahrus, Sekretaris Umum Prof. Dr. H. Nur Ahid, M.Ag dan Bendahara Umum Drs. H. Imam Shobari, M.Pd.l
Ketua MUI Jatim, KH Abdusshomad Buchori, berpesan kepada para pengurus MUI Kota Kediri untuk selalu menjaga hubungan yang harmonis.
“MUI bukan sekedar ormas namun juga mempunyai tugas membantu pemerintah. Dan para pengurus MUI harus memiliki Wawasan Keagamaan, wawasan kebangsaan, serta wawasan pembangunan,” ujarnya.
